Community Education YDN hosts convenings to bring together stakeholders to examine youth issues, best practices and how agencies can collaborate to create better systems of supports and opportunities for youth. This includes convenings with guest speakers, like past convenings with Bonnie Benard, as well as helping to bring youth voice to community issues, such as the preparation and participation of youth in the TALL Order Conference by Valley Vision, or youth presenting to the Lucille Packard Board of Directors. It includes YDN youth interns helping run youth focus groups to inform public policy decisions or making presentations around the region on the youth development approach and how organizations and communities can advance the approach for youth success. Our goal is to create a ripple effect so that everyone understands the benefits of the youth development approach so we create a tipping point in the community around youth development as the pathway to youth success.
